David John

The David John cottage is set back further in the woods, down the shoreline from the beach and lawn area. It is the more secluded of the 2 cabins. It is a two bedroom, one bath cottage. One bedroom has a full size bed. The other bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is a twin size pull out couch along with a Futon couch for sleeping. Giving the sleeping capacity of 7 people. There is a living area with picture windows facing the lake. There is a separate kitchen area. There is a gas furnace unit for heat, plus electric heat in the bathroom.
 

This cottage sits about 30 feet from the shore of Fawn Lake. It has a large attached deck overlooking the lake, with a table and several chairs. There is a charcoal grill with utensils for your outdoor cooking pleasure.  There is a fire pit area for your exclusive use. We supply you with all the fire wood you need at no extra charge. There are chairs and benches along with a picnic table for your cooking and fire watching enjoyment. Remember as per state law, if you are found responsible for starting a forest fire, you are responsible for all costs of suppressing the fire and damages, so be careful. Keep the fires small.

There is a dock in front of your cottage with a fishing boat for your use. We provide boat cushions and life vests for your use.  There is also access to another boat on Lumen Lake, a lake adjacent to the resort. Fawn and Lumen Lake are no wake lakes. Electric or small gas motors are allowed, just go slow. We do not supply any boat motors, but they can be rented locally. We have a nice fish cleaning house with a refrigerator/freezer for your convenience.

 It is a modern cottage with all the conveniences provided for you to have a wonderful vacation. Yet it holds the nostalgia from a by gone era. There is a path between the cottages we have come to call Toad Stool Trail. This trail is an adventure for children and the young at heart. You will never know what surprises you will find along the way. Watch out for the Gnomes and fairies.

We rent from Saturday to Saturday, check in is after 12 noon, check out is 8 AM.
 

The cost of this cottage is $850 per week plus 5 ½% sales tax for June, July and August. We do have off season rates of $750 per week plus 5 ½ % sales tax for the months of May, September and early October, weather permitting. Occasionally, we do have weekends or are able to rent daily or have partial weeks available, then the rent is $130 + tax a night, three night minimum, check on availability.
